Donald Liebner's Obituary
Donald Vincent “Don” Liebner, 87, of Huntersville went home to be with the Lord on October 26, 2021. He was born on August 17, 1934 in Chicago, IL to the late Dominic and Loretta Liebner.
Don served in the U.S. Army and had a long career in banking that spanned from the Chicago area to Miami. Don received Christ as his savior in response to an alter call during an Army chapel service in 1958. Don loved the Lord and was a member of Huntersville A.R.P. Church. He held a master’s degree in ministry. He enjoyed serving as chaplain of the American Legion Post 86 and working as a volunteer at the Lake Norman Free Clinic.
Survivors include his wife Jean Liebner; daughter, Karen Liebner of Stallings; son John Liebner and wife Kerstin of Charlotte; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Huntersville ARP Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 10-11 AM prior in the sanctuary.
