Donald Lynn Staton (Better known as Donnie or Duck), 62, of Charlotte, NC, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2023. Donnie attended Lakehaven Community Church in Huntersville. He was the owner of Staton Tree Services of Charlotte, NC. D Read Obituary
I first met Donnie in 2004, when he cut down 7 gumball trees in my backyard. As time passed he cut down 3 more large trees. We became good friends. He knew everything about anything, and was my go to person for advice. I had an old well that I was going to use to water my grass and for emergencies. He told me what I would need and the cost. He advised me who to go to when I wanted to change over my car's a/c to r-134. When he came for a job, we would end up talking for hours. I don't see how he made any money with the prices he gave. I looked him up and saw his obituary as I had not seen any Facebook postings for a while and he advised me of his health problems. My prayers go out to all his family, and I know that God needed Donnie to give him advice. Godspeed Donnie.
I remember growing up with Donnie and his brothers and sister. We always had fun in the mountains at Lula house and Tommy's. He will be missed by all that knew him, especially his family.
