Donna Railey Herron's Obituary
Donna Herron, 75, of Huntersville, passed away Friday, November 7, 2025. She was born in Charlotte, NC to the late Daniel and Edith Railey.
Donna retired from Carolinas Medical Center where she worked as a secretary and CNA for many years. Her infectious smile and warm soul ensured she made friends everywhere she went. She enjoyed attending services and events at Huntersville United Methodist Church. She also enjoyed craft fairs, community events and visiting new places. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and loved ones.
In addition to her parents, Donna is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Herron. She is survived by her children, Cameron Herron (Jennifer) and Melody Morrison (Mike); brothers, Daniel Railey (Ann) and Donald Railey (Tammy); grandchildren, Brandon (Morgan), Hannah (Thomas), Cameron (Chloe), Connor, Elijah, Grayson, Marie, Noah, and Colton; great-grandchildren, Elle, Baylor, Harper, Nash and Brantlee; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
The services will be held at James Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Friday, November 14, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. The funeral will be on Saturday, November 15, 11:00 AM with the interment following at Northlake Memorial Gardens in Huntersville, NC.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Huntersville United Methodist Church or Novant Hospice.
