Doris Lanning's Obituary
Doris Evans Lanning was born March 3, 1925 in Northfork, West Virginia, daughter of Rev. Robert Lee Evans and Blanche Bradley Evans, died August 24, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother and two sisters. She is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law. Peggy Lanning Hales and Lonnie R. Hales of Cornelius, NC and Dr. Lynda Lee Lanning and David Scott Green of Cedar Grove, NC. She is also survived by one sister, Roberta Luttrell of Ten Mile, Tennessee.
Doris was a long time member of Myers Park United Methodist Church where she served as a Circle Chairman.
The family would like to express appreciation to the caregivers who provided comfort, care and love during her final days.
The graveside service will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Charlotte.
