Douglas Ross' Obituary
Douglas Wiggin Ross, 89 of Huntersville died February 2, 2021. He was born in Canada on August 27, 1931 to the late Hugh and Dorothy Ross.
He was an avid tennis player and stamp collector. He was also an avid butterfly collector traveling throughout the jungles of South America collecting exotic butterflies. He was known for his keen sense of humor and for always being a gentleman. He owned and operated his own microfilming company before retiring at the age of 50 years old. Miami Microfilm was the largest microfilming company in South Florida during the 1980s. He also had a great love for animals and owned numerous dogs, cats and birds during his lifetime and was a big supporter of the ASPCA and Adopt a Pet.
He is survived by his daughter, Christine Chadduck and husband Thomas Chadduck of Cornelius and grandchildren, Douglas and Alexandra.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ASPCA.
