Earl Selmer Johnson's Obituary
Earl Selmer Johnson, age 91, of Charlotte, died on Sunday, December 16, 2018.
He was born on January 3, 1927, to the late John Selmer Johnson and Ragnhild Christensen Johnson.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his constant companion and best friend of the last 15 years, Joan Risse of Charlotte and formerly of New York; two sons; Stuart Johnson and his wife, Julia of Phoenix, MD and Gordon Johnson and his wife, Karen of Huntington Station, NY; four grandchildren, Katherine Johnson, Erin Johnson, Beth Johnson and Jared Johnson and a brother, Floyd Johnson and his wife, Helen of MA.
He is predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth and their daughter, Pamela "Pami" Johnson.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 5, 2019 in the chapel of James Funeral Home, 10520 Arahova Drive, Huntersville, NC 28078. The family will receive friends immediately following the service during a time of food and refreshments, in the Community Room at the funeral home. Chaplain Rick Felts will be officiating the service.
