Earl Gene Taylor's Obituary
Earl G. Taylor of Huntersville, North Carolina, passed away surrounded by the love of his family.
Earl was a gentle and faithful man whose greatest joy in life was caring for the people he loved. His family always knew they were protected, supported, and deeply loved by him. He loved the Lord and found peace spending time in his recliner reading his Bible.
Earl had a passion for classic cars and was especially proud of his 1955 Thunderbird. While he was never known as a big talker, he could always be counted on for a good conversation if the topic was cars, politics, or religion. Those who knew him will remember his quiet strength, steady presence, and unwavering devotion to his family and faith.
Earl is survived by his loving wife, Becky Taylor; daughter, Regina Russell and husband Tim; son, Josh Taylor and wife Kelly; grandchildren, Brittany Ferrell and husband Robert, Brandon Kraycirik and fiancée Ariel, and Noah Taylor; and great-grandchildren, Jax, Levi, Cooper, June, and Juliet. He is also survived by his sister, Joanna, and her husband David.
Earl was preceded in death by his father, Earl W. Taylor; his mother, Wanda Duffel; and his brother, Carl Taylor.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, 10:00 AM, followed by an 11:00 AM Celebration of Life service at Carmel Baptist Church, 1145 Pineville-Matthews Rd, Matthews, NC 28105.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in memory of Earl to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research supporting the search for better treatments and a cure for Parkinson’s disease - https://give.michaeljfox.org.
