Edward "Lynn" Austin's Obituary
Mr. Edward “Lynn” Austin, 70, of Charlotte, entered in the presence of his Lord and Savior Thursday, August 16, 2018.
Lynn was a native of Charlotte. He attended Northdale Baptist Church. Lynn enjoyed working in his garden, mowing and taking care of his yard, spending time with his family and attending church. He loved his two collies, Lucy and Michelle.
Mr. Austin served in the Army and fought in the Vietnam War where he received a Bronze Star.
Mr. Austin was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.
Lynn is survived by his three daughters; Tammy McCorkle (John) of Stanley, Cindy Ferrell of Kannapolis, Christy Hill of Charlotte, seven grandchildren; Derrick McCorkle, Kendall (Chris) Carver, Brian and Michael Hill, Caroline and Allison Ferrell, Avery Wiseman, and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 19 at 2:00 p.m. at James Funeral Home of Huntersville. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Online condolences may be made at www.jamesfuneralhomelkn.com.
