Edward Wingate,'s Obituary
Edward Irwin Wingate, Jr. 84 of Charlotte, NC died December 7, 2015. He was born on September 26, 1931 in Mecklenburg County to the late Edward and Iola Thomas Wingate. He served in the US Air Force and was a member of the Derita Masonic Lodge. Eddie worked as an electrical engineer for Westinghouse.
Survivors include his sisters, Billie McConnell of Huntersville, Sarah Duncan of Charlotte, Barbara Choate of Waxhaw and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brothers Jimmy and Steve Wingate.
Memorials may be made to Williams Memorial Presbyterian Church or the Levine and Dickson Hospice House.
A graveside service will be held at the Williams Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery at 2 PM Wednesday, December 23.
