Edwin (Mike) Puckett's Obituary
Edwin Michael "Mike" Puckett, 78, of Charlotte died January 11, 2025. He was born on January 12, 1946 in Mecklenburg County to the late Edwin and Lois Puckett.
Mike attended North Mecklenburg High School and was in the class of 1964. He served in Germany during the Vietnam era with the U.S. Army. He worked his whole career as a meat-market manager, starting at A&P and retiring from Bi-Lo. He was a proud mason and served two terms as master of the Long Creek Masonic Lodge. He sang in the St. James Male Choir and the Trinity U.M.C. Choir. He was a lifelong member of Trinity U.M.C. He loved to golf and fish.
Survivors include his wife Marsha Whitlow Puckett; sons, Scott (Robin) and Robert (Wendy); step-daughter, Jennifer Curry; 4 grandchildren and 6-great grandchildren; siblings, Carol Cribb and Brenda Puckett.
Memorials may be made to Trinity UMC or the American Cancer Society.
A funeral service will be held at 3 PM Monday, January 27 at Trinity UMC with burial following in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 2-3 PM prior in the Family Life Center.
