Elizabeth Ann Bright's Obituary
Elizabeth Ann Bright, 80, of Greensboro, formerly of Harrisburg, died October 8, 2020. Mrs. Bright was born in Northampton County on August 2, 1940, and was the daughter of Johnny Lee Gibson and Annie Mae Whittington Gibson. She worked 18 years for C. B. Drug in Harrisburg, North Carolina and then moved to Holden Beach, North Carolina and worked at the Holden Beach Pier for 25 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Dever Bright Jr., a son, Timothy Bright, three sisters, Beatrice Tresseler, Hazel Smith, Vera Mae Smith, and two brothers John Gibson, Jr., and William (Bill) Parker.
Survivors include a son Dwayne Bright of Supply, NC; five daughters and two sons-in-law, Jo Ann Pearson of Greensboro, Linda and Rick Newman of Hopewell, Virginia, Angela and Gary Gilson of Charlotte, Sharen Winn of Gates and Paula Pearson of Wake Forest, and one brother Hugh Gibson of Enid, Oklahoma and 15 Grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at James Funeral Home Monday, October 12 from 2-3PM. A graveside will follow at Northlake Memorial Gardens at 3:30 PM.
Flowers are welcomed, or memorials may be directed to Authora Care, Guildford County Hospice.
