Elizabeth Frazier's Obituary
Elizabeth Jane Frazier, 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 10, 2012. Jane grew up in West Virginia and raised her family there, but called Cornelius home for the last 20 years of her life. She was a lifelong homemaker and very caring mother and grandmother. She enjoyed doing much volunteer work over the years and particularly valued her time at Habitat for Humanity in Cornelius, and treasured her friendships with her co-workers there. She also was a long time volunteer at Lake Norman Hospital, where she received generous and tender care in her final days.
She is survived by three children and their families, Larry Frazier and his wife Karla of Advance, NC, Brad Frazier and his wife Kay of Cornelius, NC, and Patty Gayhart and her husband Jim of Cincinnati, Ohio; and step-son John Frazier and his wife Jane of Flint, MI She was a very proud grandmother to ten grandchildren and just celebrated the birth of her first great grandchild this week.
A funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Cornelius on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 11:00 with a public visitation one hour prior to the service. There will also be a graveside service the following day at her final resting place in Fraziers Bottom, WV.
The family would like to thank the staff of Churchill Assisted Living for their special and loving care in recent months. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity, 20310 North Main Street, Cornelius, NC 28031.
