Elizabeth V. Baker's Obituary
Elizabeth Verwiel Baker, 69, of Denver, NC passed away on May 6, 2014 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, NC.
She was born on August 2, 1944 in Lake Charles, LA and was the daughter of the late John C. Verwiel and Betty Lou Dodds Verwiel. She was a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, MO; was a member and Elder of Fourth Street Presbyterian Church in downtown Detroit, MI; gardening was her passion and she was a master gardener; she was a member of the Women’s PNC Club that has been meeting annually for 38 years.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph Gignac of Denver, NC and a brother John Verwiel and wife Judy of Madison, WI.
A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014, at 11:00 AM, at James Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at funeral home.
