Ella Antonelli's Obituary
Ella Joan Antonelli, 80, of Huntersville, NC passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 17th 2020, in Charlotte, NC.
She was born January 30th 1940, to Edward and Gladys Eckert and raised in Flushing, Queens NY.
Ella married Joseph F. Antonelli and settled on Long Island, NY where she was a homemaker, worked part time, and made many great friends. Ella and Joe retired to NC to be near their daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren. Ella truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures—chatting with family and friends, sharing meals, and spending time with her grandchildren. Ella had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way.
Mrs. Antonelli is survived by her 2 children, Athena Spitaliere and Marc Antonelli; 4 grandchildren, Dominic, Gianna, Angelo, and Aiden; stepson Joseph Antonelli; her brother Ronald Eckert, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ella was predeceased by her loving husband of over 40 years and her 4 siblings Edward, Charles, Robert, and Shirley.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Ella touched are invited to the James Funeral Home, 10520 Arahova Dr, Huntersville, NC 28078 1-704-584-9004. Visitation will be on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at 1 p.m. followed by a chapel service at 2 p.m. to reminisce and celebrate her life.
