Ellen Driver's Obituary
Ellen Ludlow Briant Driver, 100, of Mooresville died at the Levine and Dickson Hospice House. She was born on February 17, 1915 in Morristown, NJ to the late Charles and Mary Moore Briant. She graduated from Morristown High School in 1933 and went to the Newark Art School for 3 years graduating in 1936. She married Wallace James Driver, the love of her life. She met him at Camp Washington and called him “Red Head”. They married in June 1936 at her parent’s home. Soon after marriage, they rented an apartment in Morristown, NJ. She was a homemaker while her husband worked in NYC.
Mrs. Driver is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Kuper and husband John (Skippie) of Freehold, NJ; son, James Evans Driver (Jedi) and wife Debbie of Henicro, VA and son and caretaker, Richard Wallace Driver of Mooresville; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Her graveside will be private in Morristown, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Levine and Dickson Hospice House, 11900 Vanstory Dr. Huntersville, NC 28078.
