Ellen Howes' Obituary
Ellen Simmons Howes, 65, of Huntersville, died Sunday February 24, 2013. She was born in Wilmington, NC June 8th 1947 to the late James Simmons and Gwendolyn Rackley Jones.
Ellen was a teacher of young minds and old since '88 and is now teaching all the little angels in heaven.
She is survived by her husband of thirty seven years Neal Howes, who always described her as his “Doris Day” and her three children, daughters Heather Patton and Gwendolyn Howes, and son Jake Howes and wife Melissa; sister Lisa Randall and husband Danny; grandchildren DJ Cloaninger and MacKenzie Jean Jamison; Marion Simmons wife of James Simmons, cousin Betsy Sullivan, nephews James Randall and Jonathan Randall.
A celebration of life will be held at First Baptist Church Huntersville Saturday, March 2nd at 4pm. A covered dish will follow the service just like the one that started this journey 37 years ago.
