Ellen Jeanne Burden Coyer of Greenwich, Connecticut, Davidson, North Carolina, Bradenton, and Florida.
Ellen Jeanne Burden Coyer passed on Thursday July 17, 2014 after suffering a stroke on Monday July 7, 2014.
Jeanne was born in Oswego, New York on May 18, 1931 to Anna and Paul Burden. Jeanne graduated from Fordham University in New York with a teaching degree. She taught at St. Mary's Catholic School in Greenwich, CT, before becoming a homemaker for her husband and children.
Jeanne is preceded in death by her husband, Frederick J. Coyer (Ted) and her two sisters Betty Burden and Anne(Ed) Chute and her parents Anna and Paul Burden of Greenwich, Connecticut also her in laws, Mary and Ted Coyer, Peggy Stevens and Dick Coyer of Oswego.
Jeanne is survived by her children Elizabeth Deeg and husband Thomas Deeg (China Grove,NC) Jeanne Coyer and fiance John Bayne(Cornelius, NC), Ted Coyer and wife Jodi Coyer(Cornelius, NC). She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Justin and Tyler Hardy, Ryan, James, Cameron, and Sabrina Dennehy and Teddy Coyer of North Carolina, in laws, Barbara and Ed Caraccioli and Barbara Sanford Coyer of Oswego, NY and many nieces and nephews.
Jeanne loved her rescue dog Savannah and all animals. She enjoyed sailing, swimming in the waves at the beach, camping, traveling, bowling, tennis, and golf. She was a very active 83 year young lady. She loved to spend time with her family and especially her grandchildren who adored her! She was a sweet, caring, and generous person who lived life to it's fullest everyday!
Family will greet friends and family members on Friday July 25, 2014 from 5pm to 7pm at Dowdle Funeral Home, 154 East 4th Street, Oswego, New York. A mass celebrating her life will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, West 7th Street, Oswego, NY on Saturday July 26, 2014 at 9am. Interment immediately following at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery,Rt. 481, Oswego, NY.
