Elliotte Lands' Obituary
Elliotte Dean Lands, Sr., 90, of Huntersville died November 15, 2025 at the NC State Veterans Home. He was born on February 16, 1935 in Mecklenburg County to the late Jesse and Mae Lands.
Elliotte served in the United States Navy as a gunnery officer from 1952 to 1956. After completing his service, he met the love of his life, Barbara. They married in 1958 and created a life together that would last for 57 years until Barbara’s passing in 2015. Elliotte spent his life as a sales rep for business equipment but loved nothing better than spending time with his family, especially family beach vacations playing golf with his son and son-in-law. He loved watching the Panthers, ice cream, enjoying a margarita with good friends, a good glass of red wine and sitting in the sun. He was always ready with a funny one-liner and never took life too seriously. He truly was one of a kind and will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Survivors include his sons, Dean Lands and wife Donna and Christopher Lands; daughter, Kelly Bruce and husband Jason; brother, Herman Lands; and grandchildren, Ford Lands, Benjamin Lands, Hannah Lands and Jack Bruce. He is preceded in death by his wife Barbara and his brothers Marion, Max and Albert and his beloved dog Norman.
Memorials may be made to local animal shelters or The Asher House, https://www.theasherhouse.com
