Emily Person Pippin's Obituary
Emily L. Pippin, a long-time resident of Indiana and Florida, met her Savior face to face in Heaven on February 15, 2018, in Huntersville, North Carolina.
Her passions were her family, music, studying the life of Jesus, genealogy research, flower gardening, and mentoring students. Born May 6, 1934, in Minnesota, she began singing publicly at age six and continued to pursue music as a performer, classroom teacher, and director all her life. Together with her husband, D. Leon Pippin, she directed and produced 21 musicals and multiple music programs in churches, schools and their communities.
The memories she has left as a wife, mother of four, teacher, and friend will be cherished by all who knew her. Emily will be buried beside her husband of sixty-one years (who died in 2017) in Florida Memorial Gardens, Rockledge, Florida.
