Emma Elizabeth “Lib” Howard Shinn, 100, of Cornelius, NC passed away peacefully at home on the morning of Wednesday, August 23. Born in Iredell County February 25, 1917, she was the beloved daughter of the late Henry Durant and Lo Read Obituary
My family had the pleasure of knowing Mrs. Shinn for a long time. She was my dad's (Bob Stephenson) secretary at Davidson College for many years. Mrs. Shinn kept our dad straight. It was always a pleasure going over to Dad's office on campus and visiting with Mrs. Shinn. A smile constantly graced her face. She was a very kind, classy, fun lady. Our deep sympathy to her family at this time.
