Enrique Torres' Obituary
Enrique Torres, of Huntersville, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on June 16th, 2018 in Huntersville, North Carolina, at the age of 87.
Enrique was born July 15, 1930, in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba. He married Luz Maria Estremera on January 1, 1959. Arriving in America, he made his home in New York City where he worked hard to support his family. In 2003, he moved with his daughter’s family to Charlotte, North Carolina, where he lived the rest of his days peacefully surrounded by his children and grandchildren.
He greatly enjoyed spending time with family over good food and good conversation. Enrique is survived by his wife, Luz Maria, his two children, Lucy and Enrique Jr. (Rick), their spouses, John and Jessica respectively, his ten grandchildren, and his three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday, June 19 at James Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at 5:30 PM. The Funeral Mass will be 10 AM Wednesday, June 20 at St. Ann's Catholic Church on Park Rd., Charlotte. The burial will take place at 11 AM Thursday, June 21 at Northlake Memorial Gardens in Huntersville.
