I was very sorry to hear that Eric passed away. I had the privilege of getting to know him about 30 years ago when I was an exchange student with the Bartons, and I’m grateful that we stayed in touch over the years.
Eric had a wonderful sense of humor, and I will always remember his warmth and the joy he brought to those around him.
My heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones. He will be remembered in our hearts.

I always remember Eric smiling and laughing. He was one of the happiest people I know , and brought joy wherever he went. He touched so many lives and made the world a better place by just being himself. I will always fondly remember our family visits and trips together growing up, playing Donkey Kong at his house , barreling down icy Sugar Mountain with no fear trying to keep up with him like we were in the Olympics. Looking back, I am shocked none of us ever broke any bones! Our hearts, prayers, and love go to all of you. We love you and Eric dearly !
