Ernest "Ernie" Gunderman's Obituary
Mr. Ernest “Ernie” Gunderman, 90, of Mooresville, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017.
Ernie was a native of Elmira, NY. His career in Fire Safety Apparatus and Equipment brought him to Buffalo, NY, Syracuse, NY, Greensboro, NC and Cornelius, NC. He served in the Army during WWII. Ernie enjoyed traveling, playing pinochle, golf and most of all spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Patricia Ann McConnell Gunderman.
Mr. Gunderman is survived by his children; Timothy Gunderman (Kathleen) of Charlotte, NC, Bernadette Becker (Gary) of Denver, NC, Mark Gunderman of Greensboro, NC, Mary Williams (John) of Denver, NC grandchildren; Gerin Martin (Eddie) of Lynchburg, VA, Matt Becker (Tina) of Huntersville, NC, Christopher Gunderman (Kassen) of Midland, TX, Meghann Gunderman Sehorn (Jason) of Charlotte, NC, Mikhial Gunderman (Karen) of Joplin, MO, Shaughn Gunderman (Britney Kilby) of Greensboro, NC, Brent Williams (Sarah Welty) of Littleton, CO, Beck Williams of Charlotte, NC great-grandchildren; Maddie, Claire, Kaeden, Everett, Patricia, Leona, Luna, Finley, Avery, Emery and Sebastian (arriving soon). He is also survived by his beloved friend Lorraine Albright.
His family would like to thank all his care giver at Carillon of Mooresville for their compassionate love and concern.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 Saturday, June 17 at James Funeral Home of Huntersville, and with a reception immediately following. Interment will be at Mt. Zion Community Cemetery, Cornelius, NC.
