Esther Monu's Obituary
Esther Monu, 68, of Charlotte died October 8, 2016. She was born on December 29, 1947 in Ghana to the late Edmund and Helen Bodza-Lumor. She attended St. Mark Catholic Church and retired as a Health Services Administrator for the U.S. Embassy in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Austin Monu; sons, Thomas, Michael (wife Jessica), Richard, Austin, Jr. and Brice; daughter, Pauline Bynum; grandchildren Jennifer and Trey; niece, Eunice Brackett and nephew Dodzi Attimu; Ange Konan-Ngoran (husband Emmanuel) and adopted son Eugene Attoube.
The visitation will be held at James Funeral Home, Huntersville from 4-7 Thursday, October 27. The funeral mass will be held at 11 AM Friday, October 28 at St. Mark Catholic Church with burial following at Northlake Memorial.
