Frances Gray Stephens' Obituary
Frances Elizabeth Gray Stephens, age 95, of Charlotte, NC, died Sunday, November 26, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Ransom Boyce Gray and Edna Penniger Gray and the widow of Allie Glenn Stephens.
Mrs. Stephens was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church. Throughout her life she worked at many jobs, but raising her family her was her first love. She loved to cook and sew and working word puzzles.
She is survived by her four sons; Ronald M. Stephens and his wife, Brenda, Alan G. Stephens, Dale L. Stephens and his wife, Jan and Edwin “Drew” Stephens and his wife, Pam, four grandchildren; Rhonda S. Goode and her husband, Jeff, Jeffrey Stephens, Erica Stephens and Miriam Stephens, two great grandchildren; Dillon and Brittnay Goode and a brother, Thomas Gray, all of Charlotte.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 pm, Tuesday, November 28, at Oak Grove UMC, 6440 Old Statesville Rd, Charlotte, NC. 28269. Mrs. Stephens’ Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm in the church sanctuary with The Rev. Bob Roten officiating. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oak Grove UMC, 6440 Old Statesville Rd, Charlotte, NC. 28269.
