Frances Ann Hudson Hawkins' Obituary
Mrs. Frances Ann (Hudson) Hawkins, 90, of Charlotte, passed away Saturday November 29, 2025.
Frances was born in Fort Bragg, NC on October 28, 1935. She was an Army brat whose father was a mule trainer in WWII. She lived in Panama and Fayetteville before her parents moved the family to Charlotte. Frances married her husband, Edward, August 1, 1954, they shared 46 years together until his passing in 2000. They shared a devoted marriage and raised their two sons in Charlotte. Frances was a dedicated Den Mother for Bill’s Boy Scout troop. Frances enjoyed cooking, crocheting and sewing. She was very accomplished at all 3. She loved her cats, making crafts and wordsearch puzzles. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edward Hawkins and her parents, William Franklin Hudson and Erma Atkinson Hudson.
Mrs. Hawkins is survived by her two sons, Thomas Hawkins (Chrystal) of Gastonia, NC and Bill Hawkins of Charlotte NC.
The family will receive friends on Friday December 5th from 12 noon to 2pm at James Funeral home in Huntersville. Graveside funeral will be Friday December 5th at 3pm at Forest Lawn West 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208.
