Frances Hudson's Obituary
Frances Denning Hudson of Cornelius, NC went to Heaven on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 100 years of age.
Frances was born in Durham, NC and several weeks after graduating high school went to work at Camp Butner during World War II. She inherited her mother’s grace and faith and her father’s humor and wit.
She met and married John Sparks Hudson, and they remained together for 59 years until John passed away in 2007. They lived in 9 different cities together, and among the first tasks she accomplished in each was to join the local Baptist Church.
She mentored dozens of young people with memorizing bible verses and other church activities and worked for many years as a secretary at Parkwood Baptist Church in Gastonia, NC.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lela and Benjamin Denning, as well as her sisters Louise and Maxine. She is survived by her sons John (“Jack”) Hudson and Albert (“Al”) Hudson, and three beloved granddaughters Hailey, Sydney and Ally Hudson
Her family will receive friends at 2:30PM on Saturday, March 30 at James Funeral Home in Huntersville, with a service in the Chapel at 3:00PM.
