Frances Keziah's Obituary
Beloved Mary Frances Ward Keziah, 87 of Charlotte N.C., Peacefully passed on to the Hands of her Savior at her home on Sunday September 11, 2022, after battling a long illness. She was born in Nakina North Carolina on the wonderful day of December 14, 1934. Frances pursued a career in Cosmetology to become a Hairdresser, which lead her to Charlotte North Carolina. Where she met her husband of sixty years, John N Keziah, Jr.
Frances will be remembered by her Family and Friends as a person who Loved God and his Son and she cherished serving them. Frances enjoyed her career as a hairdresser, because she loved people. Frances and her husband founded and owned several businesses in Charlotte during their lifetime. Starting with Keziah’s Gas and Groceries on North Tryon Street in 1969. Through the years, The Bantam Market on Gibbon Road, The Country General Store on Albemarle Road and their last venture together, Keziah’s Furniture, Inc. on Gibbon Road. Frances was a very devoted Wife and Mother. She was preceded in death by her Husband on May 21, 2020.
Frances will also be remembered as a very devoted Mother and Grandmother. She always enjoyed spending time in her flower gardens. Where she raised different types of flowers and plants and was known for having a successful way with plants.
Frances was known by her family, friends and customers for her always Beautiful Smile, her wonderful Personality and for her very humble and kind hearted ways. She never met a stranger and always made you feel welcomed and comfortable. “To know her, was to love her.”
She is going to be truly missed!

Frances leaves to cherish her loving memory: her daughter Robin Keziah Obi(Jim) of Charleston, SC; son John Newton Keziah III (Robin) of Fort Mill, SC; grandson, Scott Jones (Emily) of Orlando, FL; grandson, Christopher Jones of South Port, NC; granddaughter, Rachel Shugart of Greenville, SC; granddaughters , Mary Adair, Caroline and Madison Keziah, all from Fort Mill, SC; granddaughter, Amanda Obi and grandson Jake (Jen) Obi, all from Charleston, SC; granddaughter Jacquie Obi of Nashville, TN. Great-grandsons, Dylan and Braylyn Jackson; Jack and Jesse Obi all of Charleston, SC and great-grandson, Pete Thiessen of Nashville, TN
