Francis Xavier Worden, “Frank”, 80, of Cornelius passed peacefully February 19, 2014 at his residence, surrounded by loved ones. Frank will be greatly missed, and left to cherish his memory is his wife of 55 years, Muriel Robinso Read Obituary

Ellen and I were extremely sad to hear about the passing of Frank. He will be warmly remembered as a dear friend of our family. He and dad were the best of friends and I am truly grateful for the care and compassion he shared with our family. I will always remember Frank's smile, laughter and his Pride & Joy.

Bobby- It was so good of you to be there for my family-- you are a warm, kind, generous soul that God has seen fit to place in our extended family. We have walked this solumn path before , and are able to remember the good times with Tom, and we are remembering the good times with Dad now. He loved you. We go forward carrying dad in our hearts; where we hear his thoughts, criticism, silly jokes and funny inappropriate comments in our everyday lives--- and they will keep him close and carry us through the times that we miss his hugs, and good night kisses, coupled with a soft "good night , God Bless."

Thank you for your support and rememberences. We need to continue by carrying him in our hearts and memories... and the memories of my dad, coupled with the love and support and memories of friends keep him alive in our hearts. He was bigger than life itself, and he is missed.

Thank you so much for your prayers and well wishes during this time. dad had a life well lived, and he touched many. He was "dad " to all my friends, as well as the friends of my brothers and sister. He was a character that was bigger than life, and his prescence and laughter filled a room. The man never met a stranger ! Thank you for your prayers, well wishes, and rememberences of my hero.

Thank you so much for being there for my family always, but especially this week- It meant alot to us to have your support. Your family will always mean so much to us - we have been through alot together !
And by the way--- I am just guessing...but is the special song "Maria" from West Side Story, or the nuns chant of "Maria" from The Sound of Music ? .... and I would guess the 1st. I seem to remember him singing that. He LOVED to sign to people- it was a way to tell them how important they were to him... the song was sometimes corny, sometimes serious... but always signature FXW !!
It was good to have you with us as we celebrated his life! You are family !

It has been a long time since we have connected but Frank and family, you are often in our thoughts. We both are both so sorry for your loss but Frank's good fortune to be in the presence of his son.
Larry particularly enjoyed working with Frank his problem solving and good humor were among the highlights of our time in Greensboro. My time in Greensboro was one of my best experiences while working for Western Electric. God bless you all and give you comforting this difficult time. You will remain in our prayers.
Frank will be truly remembered by the Pelosi's as a warm and loving husband and father who devoted his time to sharing his time and energy to his family, friends and church. His positive outlook on everyday occurances has always warmed our hearts and mentored us to be more like him as we have always been taught through our faith in our Lord, Jesus Christ.

A long time family friend, Frank will alway have a special place in our hearts. You were always guaranteed to have a smile on your face when Frank was present. His laughter and wit lit up the room. And personally, I will always have "our special song".

It was my great privilege to meet this man many years ago, through his son the late Tom Worden. This earth may have lost a man, but heaven is getting a Saint. He was true to his family and loved his grandchildren abundantly. He will be missed!
