Frank Joseph Correale's Obituary
Frank Joseph Correale of Charlotte, NC passed away on January 5th , 2025, due to natural causes at the age of 86.
Frank was born on December 1, 1938 in Pennsylvania to Frank Correale and Louise Hujber. After graduating from high school, he served in the US Army including stints in the United States and Germany. After completing his service, Frank led a diverse career in retail clothing including managerial positions at Zayre Corporation, Ames Corporation, Big Lots and Johnston and Murphy. His earliest roles were in the shoe department as a manager and buyer, and he would often describe himself as a “shoe guy” above all else.
He was married to Bonnie Correale for over 45 years and was a dedicated husband.
Frank was a dedicated Christian through the Roman Catholic Tradition and greatly enjoyed receiving communion weekly until his passing. He and his family were founding members of the Christ our Hope Catholic Church in Atlanta, Georgia.
Frank had varied interests throughout his life including photography, sports, and activities centered on his Catholic faith.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie Correale, his brother Vincent Correale and his six children: Chris Correale, Scott Correale, Cindy Colter, Richard Hodgin, Todd Hodgin, and Frank Correale.
Services will be held at Christ Our Hope Catholic Church on Feb 15th, 2025 at 10:00 AM followed by his burial at Monastery of the Holy Spirit in Conyers, Georgia at 12:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Padre Pio Foundation, an organization Frank felt strongly about.
