Frank Jacobs' Obituary
Frank Vernon Jacobs II, known by his friends as T.J., 53, of Cornelius died September 15, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center as result of a work related injury. He was born on November 16, 1960 in Canton, OH to the late Carl and Evelyn Jacobs. Frank was a proud veteran, having served in the US Coast Guard. Achievements include: Coast Guard Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon, Coast Guard Expert Rifle Medal, and a Coast Guard Pistol Markmanship Ribbon. He was a journeyman electrician with Tradesman International for 18 years. He loved his family, helping others, racing, and fishing.
Survivors include his son Josh Jacobs of Cornelius; daughter Christine Jacobs and fiancé Brian Barr of Charlotte; siblings Del Arrendale (Judy), Donna Hamilton (Terry), Eva Holbrook, and Jason Jacobs (Cindi); grandchildren, Lucas, Alyssa, and Tyler Barr. Frank was preceded in death by his siblings, Paul Arrendale, Meta Arrendale and Jerry Jacobs.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 Saturday, September 20 in the chapel of James Funeral Home with Rev. Adam Mumpower officiating. A reception will follow in the James Funeral Home Community Room.
