Frank W. Dillon's Obituary
Francis “Frank” William Dillon, 87, of Charlotte died November 25, 2016 at the Preston House. He was born on November 12, 1929 in NY, NY to the late William and Margaret Dillon. He served in the US Army as a medic. He resided in Valley Stream, New York and Punta Gorda, Florida before moving to North Carolina. Frank worked for National Elevator Constructors Union, Local One, New York City for 32 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Elks Club and an honorary Kentucky Colonel.
Survivors include his wife, Mae Jean Dillon; son, John Dillon and wife Pam of Huntersville; daughters, Kathleen Simone and husband Frank of Lake Wylie, SC and Barbara Herzog and husband James of Odenton, MD; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The funeral mass will be held at 11 am Friday, December 2 at St. Mark Catholic Church (14740 Stumptown Rd Huntersville NC) with Burial following at 1 pm Friday at the Salisbury National Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Charlotte, the Alzheimer’s Foundation or the charity of your choice.
