Frankie Bost's Obituary
Frankie Poole Bost, 93, of Charlotte, North Carolina died June 2, 2022.
Mrs. Bost was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Ada Hoffner Poole, born in Rowan County, Salisbury, North Carolina. She spent her early life in Granite Quarry, North Carolina.
After graduating from Granite Quarry High School, Class 1945, she graduated from Salisbury Commercial College in Salisbury, North Carolina.
Shortly after graduation she was employed by Carolina Tractor Company, located in Salisbury, North Carolina. The company moved to Charlotte in 1971. Mrs. Bost moved with the company, and continued her employment for fifty-four years.
Mrs. Bost was an active member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church, Huntersville, North Carolina. She loved her Lord, her church, and her church family. She was a member of Houston-Patterson Circle, the Bazaar Craft Group, “Joy Group,” and different committees.
Mrs. Bost was married to Avery “Pete” Bost. The Bosts were married for fifty years, but had no children. She has seven nieces and nephews who served as their children. They are: Nelson Poole (Jayne) of Granite Quarry, NC; Gary Bost (Kaye) of Newton, NC; Michael Bost (Linda) of Denver, NC; Robert “Bobby” Bost of Newton, NC; Rebecca Bost Harris of Newton, NC; Barbara Bost Torres (Manuel) of St. Johns, FL; Allen Bost (Marsha) of Taylorsville, NC. Two great nieces, Amber Poole and Ashley Poole of Salisbury, NC.
Mrs. Bost was preceded in death by parents, husband, two sisters Jettie Mae Poole and Esther Poole, and two brothers Robert Clayton Poole and Robert Hayden Poole.
The funeral service will be held at 2 PM Monday, June 6 at Hopewell Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 1-2 PM Prior in the sanctuary.
