It was such a privilege to work for Mr. Davis!! He was not afraid to try new things! Formula Phonics? Yes! Take the 6th graders to Camp Broadstone for 2 and a half days? Yes! Fly 2 classes at a time to Charleston for a guided tour of the city, including Charlestown Landing Zoo? Yes! He was a great leader and a great model for for our students. He loved seeing our students love learning! The ripple effect of individuals whose lives were affected by the caring leadership of Mr. Gene Davis are in untold numbers!
My sympathies to Jean, Jon and family, and their extended families for their great loss.
Prayers for his precious family. Mr. Davis was a true gentleman and the best principal. So patient, kind - just a lovely man.
Gene was a kind, friendly man. He and his sweet wife Jean.....such an example of a true Christian marriage. Such a joy and blessing to know him.
