Fred Casavecchia's Obituary
Mr. Fred Casavecchia, 92, of Huntersville, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Autumn Care.
Mr. Casavecchia was a native and longtime resident of Cuyahoga Heights, Ohio. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp serving during World War II and was a life time member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Fred spent a lot of his time woodworking in his shop while enjoying the company of his pets which included horses, dogs, and cats. He was a caring gentleman who helped others through his carpentry skills.
Mr. Casavecchia was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Gertrude Baracz Casavecchia, and six brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his son, Dave Casavecchia and wife, Gayle of Huntersville, grandsons; David Casavecchia and fiancé, Kayla Shew of Cornelius, Matt Casavecchia and wife, Jessica of Huntersville, sister-in-law, Mary Frances Casavecchia of Cuyahoga Heights, OH, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 23, 2015 in the chapel of James Funeral Home of Huntersville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Committal services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 5, 2015 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Independence, Ohio.
