Fred Lardner Gibbon Jr.'s Obituary
Fred Lardner Gibbon, 92, of Charlotte, went to be with the Lord on January 27, 2023. He was born on September 5, 1930, in Charlotte to the late Fred and Eula Gibbon. Fred was a longtime member of Sugar Creek Presbyterian Church. He was a graduate of Derita High School.
Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Tomsie E. Gibbon and sister, Nina Gibbon Roberts. Surviors include his niece, Marcia R. McGraw of Huntersville, NC; nephew, Cecil N. Roberts (Chuck) and his wife, Kay, of Charlotte, NC; great nieces; great nephews; caregiver, Athena Teasley and family of Charlotte, NC, and friends, Fred Hunter and Frank Tyson of Charlotte, NC.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 3, 2023 at Gethsemane Cemetery & Memorial Gardens.
