Frederick Pease's Obituary
FREDERICK TRASK PEASE
August 8, 1928 – January 31, 2025
Dr. Pease (96) of Cornelius, NC, died Friday, January 31. He was born August 8, 1928 in Springfield, MA, the son of Hazel Ross and Harlan Trask Pease. He was a direct descendant of Robert Pease of Great Baddow, England, who arrived at Salem, MA in 1634.
Fred served with the US Army Military Police in the Philippines in 1946. He graduated in 1953 from Babson College and earned a Doctorate in 1984 from the State University of NY at Buffalo.
He worked for the NY Telephone Company for 26 years followed by 11 years as a Professor of Business at Buffalo State College. He was also a long-time instructor with the Dale Carnegie Association.
Fred served Presbyterian churches as Treasurer, Steward, and Elder. An avid do-it-yourselfer, he also enjoyed genealogy, as well as stamp and coin collecting. He was a volunteer fireman and ten-gallon blood donor.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Jeanne Alford, and sister, Marjory Pease. He leaves a daughter, Audri Baker of Huntersville, NC, and a son, Jeffrey (Nancy) of Amherst, NY; grandchildren Kevin Baker, Diana (Dustyn) Bucher, Evan (Lauren) Pease, and Jared Pease (Jacob Marsh); seven great grandchildren; and five nieces and nephews.
As per his wishes, a private family celebration of life will be held in his honor.
