Gail Balousek's Obituary
Gail Marie Balousek, 72, of Cornelius died July 29, 2025, at her home after a long battle with ALS. She was born on October 5, 1952, in Warren, MI, to the late Edwin and Mary Albers.
Gail lovingly raised 2 daughters who were the joys of her life. She was also a gifted decorator who loved to host annual social events at her homes in Houston, TX, and on Lake Norman, NC. Her fun laugh, outgoing personality and positive spirit introduced and brought many neighbors together for the very first time. She enjoyed music, dancing and travelling the world together with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Tom; daughters, Michelle Balousek of Frisco, TX, and Melanie Orlowski and husband Robert of Des Moines, WA; sisters, Cheryl and Claudia.

A celebration of life will be held at the Peninsula Club in Cornelius, NC on Sunday, August 10, 2025, from 1:00-3:00pm.
The Family has announced that there will be a Houston area "Celebration of Life" for Gail on Sunday, September 21, 2025 between 2:00-4:00pm at the Moran CityCentre Hotel, 800 Sorella Court, Houston, TX. The Celebration will take place in the "Pecos Room" (formerly Monalisa Lounge).
Additional "Celebrations" will be held in the Madison, WI, area on Sunday, October 12, 2025 between 4:00-6:00pm at Johnny's Italian Steakhouse, 8390 Market Street, Middleton, WI and in the Detroit area on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 between 4:00-6:00pm at Andiamo Warren, 7096 East 14 Mile Rd, Warren, MI. We hope that everyone who knew Gail will have an opportunity to come and share stories and memorialize her wonderful life.
