Gene Joseph Gaglione's Obituary
Gene Joseph Gaglione, age 78, of Cornelius, died on Friday, April 12, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Queens, NY and was a member of the United States Army National Guard for 5 years. He worked as a Custodian Engineer in several NY city public schools and had a strong work ethic. At times working 3 jobs to support his family. He was very active in his church in NY, where he gave so much of his time and truly invested in the hearts of people. He served as a trustee, deacon, head of men’s ministry and Samaritan’s Purse. He loved God with all his heart and never let an opportunity go without sharing the love of God with others. He had a passion for cars and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.
Gene is survived by his wife of more than 50 years, Kathleen, his daughter, Nicole Roth and her husband, Michael, two grandsons, James and Andrew Roth, all of Mooresville, his mother-in-law, Josephine Trizzino of Cornelius, his brother, Edward Gaglione and his wife, Tone of New Jersey brother in law Robert Dennen, sister in law, Annette Trizzino, sister and brother in law, Janice and Jay Scansaroli and brother and sister in law, John and Catherine Trizzino, cousins; Elaine Hunt, Linda Vogel and Fred Frances.
The family will receive friends at James Funeral Home from 1-2 PM on Tuesday, April 16th. His Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel. All are invited to join the family immediately following the service for a reception in the Community Room of the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at a later date.
