Hans and Charlie,
My heart has been aching for you two and the family. Chris has been on my mind so strong for the last two weeks. I think I was afraid to call you Hans. I was feeling him so strongly. We talked after he called to tell us that his liver was acting up again and he was going to stay with you Hans.
I can only tell you all what I feel. I have no idea how you feel. I just wanted you all to know how much I admired Chris's passion to give of himself to so many. His life was a journey. Now may God greet him in heaven and tell him, "Good work my Son".
Please accept my deepest sympathy and sincere love for you, Charlie and Linda. Chris will be missed but my memories of him will stay with me everyday.
Feeling your pain,
Nita Gurley Terry
Chris ~ the world has lost another kind soul. Thank you for being our friend, and "Uncle Chris" to Reid and Erin when they were so far away from their family in PA. Our days at the lake with you and the rest of the Strands, will never be forgotten.
Love you dear friend, I hope you have found peace.

We have lost a true friend with the passing of Chris. He was one of the first people we met when moving to the beach and one of the few who remained a true friend. The world is a sadder place without him. Rest in Peace friend. We will always love you and miss you. Our deepest sympathy to the Strand family.
