I loved Aunt Geri and Uncle Edward. Uncle Edward was my daddy's half brother. My daddy was Ertha G. Mooney and mama, Ruth Chandler Mooney. Aunt Geri and Mama loved each other so much.
Many years ago, I think I think 1960, my husband Paige Snow & I took Mama & Daddy to visit with Uncle Edward & Aunt Geri in Greensboro. Of course, they fed us. I remember a special pie called by Aunt Geri, Exquisite Pie. It was so delicious. She gave me the recipe and whenever I make it, I think of Aunt Geri.
Since Paige & I were newlyweds, they presented us with a set of living room lamps that we used for many years. I think one of them is still in my attic.,
Now it is April 2015, Mama, Daddy, Paige, Uncle Edward, and now Aunt Geri are all gone to their heavenly reward, but such sweet memories remain of all of them.
Rest in Peace Aunt Geri. You were a beautiful, elegant person and I loved you dearly.
Myrna Mooney Snow
