Gilmer Helms' Obituary
Gilmer E. Helms, 70, of Cornelius, died September 19, 2011 at his home. He was born on January 4, 1941 in Mecklenburg County to the late Ernest and Velma Helms.
He is survived by his wife Brenda Helms; sons, Jerry of Cornelius and Danny and wife Judith of Davidson; daughter, Virginia Beam of Cornelius; siblings, Madline Templeton, Liz Smith, Ernest Helms and Benny Helms; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lake Norman, 705 Griffith St. Suite 203 Davidson NC 28036.
A graveside service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Mt. Zion Community Cemetery with Rev. Jill Smith officiating.
