Gordon Larry Gibson Jr.'s Obituary
Gordon Larry “Larry” Gibson, Jr., 60, of Huntersville, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. He was born on November 22, 1965, the son of the late Gordon Larry Gibson, Sr. and Wilma Jean Norket Gibson.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Viki Lynn Gibson; his daughter and son-in-law, Virginia Gibson and Jeffery Flowers; his son and daughter-in-law, Larry Gibson and Natita Santana; and his cherished grandchildren, LeStat, John, Manuel, Viola, and Rosalie. He is also survived by his beloved canine companions, Tara and Ettie.
A proud member of the Charlotte Vulcan Riders, Charlotte Chapter 1-7 since 2020, Larry found great joy in riding and fellowship. He and his wife loved attending Vulcan rallies and traveling together on his Can-Am Spyder, always eager for their next adventure. Whether heading to the mountains or the beach, Larry was happiest on the move with those he loved most.
Larry had a deep appreciation for music and especially enjoyed listening to Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. He also attended several concerts featuring Hank Williams, Jr. and Lynyrd Skynyrd over the years.
He treasured time spent with his grandchildren, teaching them how to fish, enjoying days on the lake, and creating lasting memories—including taking them to their very first monster truck show. Larry was also grateful for the many friendships he formed within the community at Lake Myers Campground in Mocksville.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by several of his beloved canine companions.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, 1:30pm, at Gilead ARP Church Cemetery.
