Grace Migliore Kajohn's Obituary
Grace Migliore Kajohn, 89, of Charlotte, NC passed away on May 25, 2018 at Novant-Presbyterian Hospital in Huntersville, NC.
Grace was born on May 5, 1929 in Century, West Virginia. Grace was one of three daughters to Viola and George Migliore. Grace met her husband Michael when she was working in a bakery shoppe. She was 15 years old and told her coworker she was going to marry that young soldier. They
married four years later on November 19, 1949. Grace worked a series of jobs during her lifetime, from a piston factory during World War II to market research in her later years. Grace loved playing in her bridge clubs. Those women have remained lifetime friends.
Grace was married to her husband Michael for 56 years before he passed in 2005. She is survived by two children Joseph Dean Kajohn, wife Shelley of Charlotte, and Michelle Kajohn Tadlock, husband John Dean of Huntersville. Grace had 4 grandchildren whom she loved and enjoyed Christina Schildgen, and husband Bryan of Leander, Texas, Jenna Tadlock of Huntersville, Cameron Kajohn, fiance Erika Galicia of Kannapolis, and Amber Givens of Charlotte. She was blessed to see one great-grandchild Michael Grayson Kajohn of Kannapolis. In addition, Grace is survived by a sister Rose Bachmurski of Newport News, Virgina and many nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by one sister Violet Krauss.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at 11:00 AM, at James Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC at 1:00 PM.
The family would also like to express their appreciation to her caregivers at Kestral Ridge Family Home over the past several months. Grace loved giving to others. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Shriners Hospital for Children or St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital.
