Gregory Hussey's Obituary
Gregory Brian "Greg" Hussey, 55, of Charlotte, passed away on June 16, 2026. He was born on September 29, 1970, in Watauga County to Sandra Dwiggins Hussey and the late Bobby Wayne Hussey.
A veteran of more than 35 years in the hospitality and food service industries, Greg took immense pride in helping others. He brought his trademark smile, leadership, food and beverage expertise, and strong management experience to work each day in a quest for total customer satisfaction. Throughout his career, Greg served as a mentor, positively influencing and touching the lives of countless colleagues.
Outside of work, Greg’s passion for life shone most brightly when cheering on his beloved Clemson Tigers and spending time with his longtime dachshund companion, Capone, with whom he shared a special, loyal bond.
Greg is survived by his mother, Sandra; his brother, Bo, and his wife, Christie; his niece, Erika; his aunts, Nancy Wilson and Shirley Jarrell; and an extended family of cousins.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Charlotte.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 23 at 4:00PM at James Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC, with visitation prior from 3:00-4:00PM. Burial will be private on Wednesday at Needham's Grove Church Cemetery in Seagrove, NC.
