I read a quote, "the more he talked about what a good Christian he was, the more I wanted to hide the silver". Bot Ed never told me what a good Christian he was, he showed me. After my wife had a major surgery in 2004 to remove a cancer from her hard palette, she had to have radiation. The cancer was spreading to her brain and the doctor said she'd be dead in 3 months if we didn't. She required 40 sessions - 5 days a week for 8 weeks. I had to work, she could not drive, and we didn't know what we'd do. We put the word out that we needed help.We were shocked at how many people answered our prayer for help. Two of those Angels were Ed and Polly O'neal. This long ago I still tear up at that extraordinary generosity. After my darling passed in May, Ed, Polly, and Patrick came to the funeral. I told them then I'd never forgotten what they did for us. Ed did not tell me he was sick too but not surprising. Some people talk a good Christan game; very few live it. Ed lived it. I worked with Patrick and learned to love and respect him. It was some time before I knew he was Ed's son, but it all made sense. My prayers are with this beautiful family, and I am so sorry for all our loss.
