Harold Benjamin “Bennie” Sommers, 81, of Huntersville died July 25, 2016 at the Huntersville Oaks. He was born in Chillicothe, OH on February 6, 1935 to the late Luther and Elta Mason Sommers. Survivors include his daughter Beth Read Obituary

Benny was a good friend to everyone at Huntersville Nsg Home. My Mother affectionately called him "Big Mouth Benny". He would ride down the halls and announce that Bingo was at such and such a time. When Mother won at Bingo, Benny would yell " You better check her card!" Such a fun person. Mike and I appreciate his checking on Mother when she wasn't at an activity. Helen H and Mother will miss him terribly as will Mike, Laurin and myself. Beth, thank you so much for going to see Mother and Helen H the day after Benny died. Your heart is so big and full of love.

So sad to learn of Bennie's passing. We lost his cousin Barbara Jean on May 1. John and I always enjoyed our visits with Bennie. Now he can visit with John and the rest of the cousins in Heaven. May you find comfort in the good memories and laughter that Bennie always had. God bless!
