Harriet Fredericksen's Obituary
Harriet Weaver Fredericksen, 90, of Davidson, NC died July 25, 2015 at The Pines at Davidson. She was born on October 17, 1924 in Hamlet, NC to the late William Nathaniel and Frances Pegram Weaver.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. James M. Fredericksen, Sr. and son James M. Fredericksen, Jr. Survivors include her daughters, Mary Louise Fredericksen of Pittsboro, NC and Martha Scott Fredericksen of Cornelius, NC.
She is also survived by a sister, Hope Weaver Sardeson of Williamsburg, VA; brother, William Nathaniel Weaver, Jr. of Orlando, FL and many nieces and nephews.
Harriet attended Flora McDonald College in Red Springs, NC and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she majored in chemistry. She was a long time resident of Davidson. Harriet loved the community and cherished her many wonderful friends. She was a long time active member of the Davidson College Presbyterian Church. Harriet also had a passion for gardening and was involved in many community activities.
Memorials may be made to The Pines Resident's Assistance Fund, 400 Avinger Lane, Davidson, NC 28036.
A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, August 1st, 2015 in the Lingle Chapel at Davidson College Presbyterian Church with visitation to follow in the parlor. Burial will be private at Mimosa Cemetery.
