Harry "Bud" Stokely's Obituary
Harry (Bud) Parsons Stokely, Jr., 81, of Cornelius, went to be with the Lord on March 13, 2024. He was born in Charlotte on May 19, 1942 to the late Harry and Iva Stokely.
Bud served his Lord, family, community and country well. He has heard the words - Well done my good and faithful servant. Bud and his family worshipped at Grace Covenant Church of Cornelius for decades. He was an Elder, Sunday school teacher for both adults and teens, a Life Group leader and mentor to many men - both young and old. He was a key leader in the Grace Seniors ministry, being the lead teacher for their Sunday School Class for several years. He served his country by serving in the United States Navy.
Bud and Diane were married 43 years. They have two children, Joy Jacques (Josh) of Huntersville and Michael Stokely (Heather) and their son Parker Stokely of California.

A service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, April 6 at Grace Covenant Church at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
