Steve Fraser
I just learned of Jim's passing. What an incredible loss.
To Jim: You were a former manager in my early career and I have always looked back on our time together with gratitude and appreciation. Your approach to leadership left a lasting impression on me, and it's a testament to your character that those principles continue to guide me to this day.
But beyond your professional accomplishments, I'll never forget the man you were: a person of unwavering conviction and principle. You were a true original, unafraid to speak your mind and stand up for what you believed in, even when it was difficult or unpopular.
Your wit and sense of humor, though perhaps only appreciated by fellow geeks, brought joy and levity to those around you. And who could forget your voracious reading habits? You were a true scholar at heart, with a thirst for knowledge that was inspiring to behold.
As someone who shared your love of cats, I know how much they brought you comfort and companionship. It's clear that the bonds we form with our feline friends can be especially meaningful.
Perhaps most profoundly, however, I want to express my deepest gratitude for your kindness and generosity. Your impact on my life has been profound, extending far beyond our time working together. You showed me that leadership isn't just about giving orders, but about lifting others up and empowering them to be their best selves.
As we say goodbye to an extraordinary individual, I want you all to know that his memory will live on in my heart.
Until we meet again. May you be blessed in your coming in and your going out.
